Wifi Disabled

I have Nighthawk MR2100, with firmware NTGX24_10.19.03.00 I am not able to check if this is the latest firmware as the device just keeps showing the circle of death when I press ‘check for updates’. However my main problem is that the device says “wifi disabled”. When trying to enable dual-band wifi through wifi profiles it won’t apply. I’ve made sure wifi won’t turn off when tethering. I’m not in a restricted wifi area. Not sure why it won’t apply. I’ve put on 3 active sims and all the same, all saying Mobile Broadband Disconnected. Which can’t be right as they work in other devices… any help is much appreciated
