My serial number is claimed to differ from the serial number on my Nighthawk R8500. What to do?

The model version is R8500. The serial 4F01637V00FB. My OS Mac Sonoma.

What are you doing that needs the serial number? Where does Mac Sonoma come into it?

The R8500 dates back to 2016. It is now "EOS".

So there's not much that you can do with the serial number. It won't be valid for support or warranty.
