LAG/Port-trunk GS516TP to Auss router on Merlin
So I found out the Asus router I have supports port trunking which would allow for more bandwith for wireless clients when doing heavy data transactions on my NAS. (The NAS is already port trunked to switch via a LAG).
So is the process as straightforward as setting up another LAG for 2 ports and then connecting those to the ASUS router (configured for port trunking)?
Keep in mind I just started learning about LAGs and VLans and all that as part of setting up port trunking for my NAS. Just want to know if thers something additional I need to set up since now the switch will be link aggregated to a router upstream.

Considering you are talking of these very fast Wi-Fi router like the Asus GT-AX11000 for example, and you have similar fast AX Wi-Fi clients, it's definitively worth the effort to configure and an LACP LAG.
Let us know about your results please.

Re: LAG/Port-trunk GS516TP to Auss router on Merlin
I activated a LAG in the switch using LACP. Did the same on my router. Connected both ports to the router. That was it. I spent more time crimping a ethernet cable of the right length than the time it took to configure. The port trunking is working just fine.
We'll see how much it helps next time I get a lot of heavy traffic on the wifi accessing my NAS devices.
