R6020 WiFi router, dual band... slow speed
I am having broadband by fiber, 250 Mb/s.
I use to get about 100-110 Mb/s at 2.4GHz but now I just get about 35 Mb/s.
Does anyone have any idea what has happened and/or what can be done about it?
I recently updated the router to the latest software with no difference?
According to the spec: 2.4GHz = up to 300Mb/s
5 GHz = up to 433Mb/s
Thanks in advance
Ulf

Hello UlfH,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the NETGEAR Community.
As a first step, we recommend checking if you are still getting the same speed as before from your Internet service provider.
You can find some information on how to verify the connection between ISP and router in the following article:
https://kb.netgear.com/000038894/How-do-I-check-my-Internet-speed
If a problem with the provider can be ruled out, we recommend the troubleshooting guides below to further isolate the cause of the slowdown:

Ultimately, if a wired connection appears to be in order, we suggest probing the Wi-Fi signal as described here:
Please let us know if the suggested steps helped improve your connection, or if you have any additional questions.
Best regards,
TilmanS
