Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update #26051929
Well, my computer did the "major" Windows update for November and now Ready Cloud no longer connects to my servers.
Any solutions?

Hi rjwerth,
Let me share this forum link below, if ever you have not came across with it yet. Some driver changes were made for Windows 10 as a fix in this build:
Hope it helps.

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
This is old news pointing to an old beta. I am currently running 1.8 and it does not work witht the latest Windows 10 update. I was working just fine last Thursday, but on Friday, Windows did a major update and now ReadyCloud 1.8 no longer connects.

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
I am also getting the same issue, when I connect with my laptop before the windows 10 update it connects fine to readycloud and also I can connect no problems through the web portal.
But when I use the app after the recent windows 10 update it dont work anymore, any work around for this?
I have did as you advised to the OP but I dont know which option I should select to open a case.

Hello Maspast,
Welcome to the community!
Please try disabling any firewall security software on the computer.

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
I have disabled firewall, and no difference. It says signed in, loading devices then it gets stuck on connecting. I have allowed it through windows firewall aswell, makes no difference.
On all other machines I have it works fine, but they do not have the windows nov 10 update installed on them.
What else can I try?

Hello Maspast,
Try disabling the Windows firewall instead of just allowing the program.

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
Hello Maspast,
Can you describe exactly what is happening? Are you not able to login or you are able to login but cannot see the shares?
Also what is the login details you are using to get in? Is that the same with what you have under Accounts > Cloud Users?

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
It signs in, then it signs in successfully and then it says connecting and it just loads - does nothing else.
I can log in with the same account through the browser without any problems, and from another computer with the same account without the November update installed. Everything connects fine and I can see the drive that is shared online.

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
Hello Maspast,
Accessing it via web browser is really unlike the the desktop client, applications/programs get blocked by security software installed on computers.
Have you tried uninstalling the desktop client then reinstall it?

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
Yes I have uninstalled it multiple times, no difference.
All settings are the same on 5 other windows 10 machines without the November windows 10 update. 1 laptop and 4 pcs. can connect on them fine but this computer (since after the update, before it worked fine).
I am using the one you suggested to the OP that has a driver fix for win 10. Unfortuantely after update it just doesnt load up the devices.
Is there maybe a fix / update on the way?

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
I'm also having this problem. I can use the browser appp fine. The Windows 10 desktop app will allow me to log in, but never connects to the remote device. It just shows "Connecting...".
Disabling Windows firewall and multiple reinstalls of ReadyCloud have not fixed the problem.

I just fixed my problem by rolling back to ReadyCloud desktop client version: 1.7.1205.335 (from 1.8.something)

Dear Devov,
Thanks for this, it is now working for me aswell. I can connect without any issues - this is very odd?
Will there be a fix for this?

Re: Ready Cloud Windows Client will not connect after Windows 10 Nov Update
HI,
I'm experiencing similar problems on Windows 8.1.
Can you perhaps post a link to an older version (like 1.7) for the time being?
Thanks in advance
