ReadyNas 104 Trasmission permission denied

Good evening everyone,

I have a problem with the Transmission App on my ReadyNas 104.
I had already installed this app a long time ago and it always worked. I recently had to change the hard drives to put new bigger ones and I had to install the app again.
Once installed, I open the Web interface, add a download, it starts downloading without problems but after a few seconds it stops giving the problem "Error: Permission Denied (file path...)".

Anyone know what it could be?

Thank you

Try using the reset control on the file access page.

Re: ReadyNas 104 Trasmission permission denied

I have already tried several times but without any changes
I also tried putting admin or guest as the owner of the folder
I tried deleting and installing the app again
I tried going into settings.json and changing unmask from 18 to 0

Ok.  Reset will recursively set permissions of all the files and subfolders to match the settings, so you should always use it after changing them.

You might also look for a "umask" setting in transmission.  If you see that, then try setting it to 0.

Re: ReadyNas 104 Trasmission permission denied

Here I am again
I tried again to double-check the permissions of the folders where I tell Transmission to download and I pressed reset after confirming the saves but nothing changes.

I also tried to open the Tranission settings file and change the "unmask" line from 18 to 0 but nothing.

UPDATE: After several attempts and changes to the settings file I managed to get it working. Most likely it was the username he didn't like and changing it from admin now works
