I have 2 accounts and want to add my old email to my new one support wants me to pay them to do this is this legit or is netgear becoming a greedy terrorist organization trying to raise fund

Send an email with the related information (old account, new created account) and the related email addresses to customer.service@netgear.com with the subject "Request Merging Netgear Accounts" (or similar) and stay calm.
