Ready NAS 6.4.0 rsync error copying data from Linux server

Hi there,

may someone help me?

I have a NAS (ReadyNas 102 6.4.0) and a Linux server on the same subnet.

I scheduled a backup (rsync + ssh) on the NAS, the source is the Linux server and the destination is the NAS.

The backup starts at 0:05:07

The backup ends at 1:15:53

The backup status is: ERROR DURING THE COPY

Failed to run rsync, return rc 7680 (30)
'rsync' command returns rc=7680

This's the log I got (sorry for the Italian language settings):

I have exactly the same issue:

rsync error: timeout in data send/receive (code 30) at io.c(195) 

This happens when I backup my movies (> 500MB).

So must I assume this issue as an oversize restriction?

I doubt because I use rsync in other environments without quota problems.

Hello,

I have exactly the same issue with my rn102 with6.4.0 firmware.

The first job backup is working but it synchronize only small file (400 Mo max)

The second backup have alwaysberror and it synchronize large files (1or more Go)

I have upgrade to T21 beta firmware but the second backup still have the issue.

The destination is my rn102.

The source is a debian linux.

I use rsync ssh beetween both equipment.

The issue appears two days ago but I have updated the firmware on 6.4.0 stable when it was available for public. ( few weeks'ago)

Did anybody find a solution to this prolem? I also have the same error while rsync'ing large amount of data from ReadyNAS 314 running 6.4.0 to another older ReadyNAS NV?

I haven't. Thank you for the suggestion though. I see that the RC3 beta is now out. I am generally worried about installing a beta version. Is the production release coming soon? Is it possible to check if this particular RSYNC issue is one of the bugs fixed in the coming production release? Thanks again.

You can see some rsync fixes in the changelog that look related to your issue.
