ReadyNas NV+ v2 update 5.3.8 to 5.3.11 ReadyDLNA problem

This past weekend, I decided to update from 5.3.8 to 5.3.11 as I was hoping to resolve an issue when copying files from a Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.5. That iissue is not fixed, but I now have a bigger and more urgent problem :(!

ReadyDLNA seems to stop responding, however it worked great for over a year, and I had the latest add-on previously.

What I have tried:

* update the NAS to 5.3.11

* update ReadyDLNA to 1.1.4 (Starting ReadyDLNA version 1.1.4 shown in the log file)

* disabled ReadyDLNA

* delete the cache (/var/cache/minidlna/files.db)

* rebooted the NAS after

* re-enable ReadyDLNA

From Dashboard, ReadyDLNA then becomes unresponsive, i.e. it does not display the options, when clicking the button nothing happens.

The log does not show any new messages.

Incidently, 5.3.11 seems much slower to build the System/Overview status page than 5.3.8.

Any suggestions how I debug what's going on/wrong here?

Have you checked how the full the OS partition is?

How full is the data volume?

I did wonder about the UI becoming slow and unresponsive when logs fill the OS volume (I have a recollection of such issues), and I don't think this is the case here:

Filesystem     1K-blocks      Used    Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/md0         4184756      611072    3364024  16% /
/dev/c/c      3871629608  2844243820 1027385788  74% /c

and trying to open http://{nas}:8200/status, basically now spins saying 'connecting', bt never does - I'm sure it worked before.

On my Duo v1, 8200/status presents the media information immediately.

What about inode usage?:

Filesystem            Inodes   IUsed   IFree   IUse% Mounted on
/dev/md0               65536   16328   49208     25% /
/dev/c/c             60735488  266487 60469001    1% /c

I enabled ReadyDLNA debug using the toggle, rebooted again for good measure, and low and behold almost everything seems to be working fine now:

  • Dashboard is responsive (same as before)
  • ReadyDLNA working fine
  • {nas}:8200/status working fine

Except, Dashboard/Services/ReadyDLNA is not opening the usual dialog (the other services open their dialogs ok).

So something still not working under the hood smewhere.

Any more clues, the web UI is still not working?
