what I have found is that if i get far enough away from the router the the connection will fall back to 2.4G and once the item has connected it will stay connected fine.

What is the 2.4Ghz device?
To see if it connects with Orbi at all, temporarily disable the WPA security on the RBR. Try to connect the device.
Then reenabled WPA and TPIK. Try to connect the device.
Then set WPA2 and AES only...Coonect the device.

Is it possible to connect this device to the orbi rbk53. We have already tried to disable SSID broadcast for the 5ghz. And we have hidden the 5ghz network, but the 2.4ghz device did not connect to the orbi rbk53. Does anyone now another option to connect the device?
