2nd gen Eero announced.
Well. Eero just announced a new 2nd gen hardware, and I must say, I have pre-ordered it. Orbi raw speed is great (when it seems to work) but you have some major flaws that I just think it's time to...

eero 2 wont be any different coverage wise than what it is now , just an extra 5 gig channel to use bit like a tri band router
all 3 tri band routers i have here are in their boxes as i just dont have enough 5 gig clients to need or justify using them , esp wireless AC 5 gig clients

Petey.... Again you are espousing false statements. The 2nd generation Eero's have double the power, triband and, unlike the Orbi, a TRUE mesh system. When is your company going to understand the meaning of "Customer Service"?

lol what a load of rubbish and im sorry but it is
they do not have double the power as that is already surpassed by the eirp levels ( transmission levels ) , they have one extra 5 gig transmission at the same power , so no double power , plz check your facts
consider if they did have 1/2 the max eirp level wouldnt every one be pissed at them being so low in coverage , to claim they have double the power is just incorrect , the eero 2 is untested and so an unknown and if they claim to have twice the power as the eero 1 then the have exceded the eirp and are disregarding the world transmission power rules
and tbh orbi never claims to be mesh , it states mesh done the right way and as far as coverage and throughput thats exactly what it does
you seem to not understand tri band or power levels , it prob why you dont get the orbi
its not my company and i do not work for netgear and never have , i have simply spent 20 plus years in this industry testing and assessing modems and routers
plz understand what you are posting before attacking the messenger

Petey....I apologize. I thought you were one of their Customer Service people. I am upset with Netgear after spending almost $500 on a system that this company refuses to fix after 6 months of problems.

as i have stated to many others here , i can help you with escalating your issue and even help you with rma if needed as thats why im a superuser but many havnt taken up the offer , if you feel the orbi is not doing what you expected or is faulty plz explain further as to the details and i can help further
just for info the super user are just a group of ppl that have been involved in the industry and router / modems in general for many years and this forum has acknoledged us with the tag , we still and always will be on the user side but have a door in with netgear to help the user base

Now that they have tests out, seems to prove you wrong like usual. EERO is twice the power, twice the speed as they said.

sigh
but its not twice the wifi coverage or twice the throughput , all you get is a second 5 gig which wont cover any greater distance
the beacon units also dont have ethernet
