When I try to a speedtest, the download/upload speed are nowhere near the available speeds (typically 35/40 mbps). Is there a way to connect my computer to the RBR40 so that I can get higher download/upload speeds? Do I need to access/make some adjustment to the Orbi mesh system?
Make sure the cable used to connect your Orbi to your Modem/router or ONT is at least Cat5e.
If your Orbi router is connected to a router, and your ONT is wired to your Verizon router VIA network cable, you can bypass the regular router and connect directly to the ONT.
Disable Circle, Armor, Daisy Chaining, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and uncheck 20/40Mhz Coexistence.
Enable WMM, Implicit BEAMFORMING, MU-MIMO.
Set Short preamble mode. Save settings, reboot Orbi.
