Hi I have a device that always gets connected to the main ORBI router, although the satellite is very near to it. Is there any solution for this? So that I can assign it to get connected to the ...
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

Should I have beamforming on?
Is there a downside to it?20 feet is too close. WIfi over lap maybe too much. 30 Feet starting with the RBS from the RBR.
Beamforming is good to have enabled.

Is there a downside to it?- Ok moving the Satellite helped some I’ve noticed the ring doorbell using the Satellite for connection.
I think I’ll try turning on beam forming
