ac2200 weak 30 ft away
i have an ORBI ac2200. i am trying to connect to it from a win8.1 computer ~ 30 ft away. i have tried 3 different wifi adapters, but only 1 even sees the orbi and it connects with a VERY slow speed. ...
i still don't understand what FW you mean. the win 8.1 computer is up to date. the NG ac2200 is new.
the modem is a arris surfboard sb6141, connected to a NG ac2200
home is 2000 sq ft
there is no satellite.
Can you connect a ethernet cable from this PC to the Router?
no, the pc is in another room.
Have you tried moving the satellite closer to the PC and then connect a ethernet cable to the satellite from the PC?
no. there is no practical way to do that.
You may need to get a better wifi adapter.

or a D-Link DWA-192
