AC3000, RBR50 and RBS50 Unable to connect through the satellite. PLEASE HELP!

I have had this mesh setup for years now and it's never had issues until a few months ago. I started getting intermittent connectivity with it. It was tough to pinpoint but I think I have found it... connectivity is spotty via the satellite. I have resynced the router and satellite numerous times, upgraded the firmware to the latest, 2.7.5.6, removed and readded the satellite to the router, and factory reset both devices, but  still nothing seems to work. If I try to connect to the network through the satellite it fails to connect, but if I connect to the router first and then walk to the satellite, the connection will be fine. They are about 30 feet from each other and my house is 2700 sqft so just using the router doesn't cover it.

From the software, everything looks great.

BEAMFORMING, MU-MIMO, and Fast Roaming are all turned off and I don't have any specific advanced configuration settings. I am using Circle for Parental Controls but all devices are unfiltered while I'm trying to figure this out.

I have spectrum internet and that side of things is working fine.

I am at an absolute loss as to what to do. This came out of nowhere and is very frustrating.

Any help is appreciated!

  • After some additional troubleshooting I noticed that when the initial connection is through the satellite the machine is not getting an IP address but when connected through the router at first, the IP is assigned and thus works via the satellite.

    Does this help clarify anything?
