Addion Satellite Impact To Backhaul

Does adding an addicational satellite impact the speed at which other satellites are able to communicate with the base station?

I need to cover a 5300 sq foot house. So I'm looking at one to two addication satellites. Althought after seeing the pre-order price I may just go with Ubiquiti.

the orbi system has mu-mimo on its backhaul so the addition of a second sat should have very little impact to the first

i suggest you purchase the standard orbi router and sat first and see how it goes as i have a 4500 square house and the router and sat covers the lot with ease

having to many sat's can cause over saturation of the wifi signal and play havoc with band steering and ap steering for your clients

      Thanks Pete.

Somewhat related. Do you see any increase in latency when a device is connected to a sat vs the router?

nope , i get the same 4ms ping times from connecting to both router and sat , and thats speed testing to a local server , so because of the way the backhaul is handled there doesnt seem to be any jitter or lag added in the data path
