i want to update my firmwarer for these 2 orbi"s---when i open the udate, it asks for a password--i don't know/rememberthe password. is there any way to rest the password? change it? discover it?

When browsing to orbilogin.com and not entering the correct admin password you will be forwarded to a page like in the attached snapshot.
Here you need to enter your Orbi Router's serial number, after that you will be directed to a page where you will be asked about the security questions that you set during the initial setup procedure.
If you don't remember answers to those questions then your only option would be to factory rest your Orbi Router. :)
