After 2 years of perfect service Satellite stopped syncing

Love the Orbi products. Bought a RBR40 & RBW30 back in 2018. Everything worked great until yesturday. The RBW30 just stopped syncing with the RBR40, which is still working great. I havn't moved it or made any changes to the house or RBR40 location in years, it just stopped syncing. Orange light on the Orbi app. So I reset it, moved it closer and closer to the router, always magenta. Eventually when it was 5ft away it synced after about an hour. After thinking it was fixed I moved it back to the location it was before and again lost connection. (magenta) Is my RBW30 satelitte defective or is there something I missing? If it's defective is it normal for the orbi satelittes to only last a few years?
