The Orbi remembers every device that has ever been connected by the network adapter MAC address that was used for the connection. (My theory is that Orbi wants to be prepared in case the user ever enables Access Control and chooses the setting to forbid 'new' devices from connecting. What does 'new' mean? clearly a device that has never been on the network before. - even a year ago!)
The newer iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows software releases have a feature to create 'private' MAC addresses when connecting to WiFi, and this setting is usually 'on' by default.
Since this device is on the network, is it possible to open the Network settings on the device and see if the MAC address matches some device in the table of connected (or Attached) devices. Or, does it match the MAC address of this device in the "currently not connected" table?
