We have release firmware version 1.12.0.18 this firmware has fixes for disconnects and many more I posted the release notes below.

If you are still having issues after updating your Orbi unit you may want to factory reset the Orbi and test again. If you are still having disconnect issues or other issues with this firmware please create a new thread or contact our support team.

sigh - just google MBP and issues connecting to none apple routers , its well known over many years that apple devices have had issues connecting to anything other than the routers made by apple , this is just another case if it , maybe the netgear dev's will find a work around ( and yes thats what it will be ) which while making the orbi more compatible with apple products will reduce some performance to achieve it , aka having to force 2.4 gig to 20mhz as we have had to do for years
