My question is can I use my old tplink/Asus repeater device and connect to Orbi network and transmission network by LAN to my DVR? Or any low cost product that I can get the wireless from Orbi and connect to my dvr thru LAN cable?
Your old router can likely also be used as a wireless bridge to your new Orbi network and let you plugin via ethernet for your DVR. For Asus they seem to call this "media bridge" mode. For example, here's the Netgear instructions to do it fo one of their routers: https://kb.netgear.com/24105/What-is-bridge-mode-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Nighthawk-router

If you already tried the wireless bridge mode on your okd router but it couldn't connect to your Orbi network, you can try modifying the Orbi wireless settings like Beamforming, MIMO, Fast Roaming, 20/40Mhz Coexistence and see if that makes it more compatible.
