AP Mode Vs Router Mode
My satellite will not sync in AP mode. Only when Orbi router is a "router" it syncs. Firmware v 1.12.0.8. Do I need to update the firmwares? Tried several times in AP mode with the satellite...

Yes that is a really old firmware but you need make sure at least the router and the satellites are on the same version of firmware.

Thanks Darren.
Yes both units are running on the same firmware v1.12.0.8.
If I update to the latest firmware version, will it fix the sync between the router (in AP mode) and satellite?

Yes, update the firmwares of both satellites and router.
Make sure you download the satellite and the router firmware.
Update the satellites first and then the router after satellites come up.
be patient for them to come up and sync. If that does not fix the sync issue there is help on this board about re-syncing using the buttons.

Ok thanks for the advice.
I will update both firmwares and see if that syncs in AP mode.

Hello,
Updated both router and satellite to latest firmware v 2.1.1.16 and it fixed the sync problem between the satellite and the router (AP mode).
Everything looks to work fine but the backhaul status of the satellite says "poor" even if the satellite connection is On (blue light on the satellite). On another post I have seen somebody saying that if we untick the option "daisy chain connection" then the status would go back to good. My systems works fine though...
Is it important to have the daisy chain connection enabled or not?
Thanks for your comments.
