Assign devices to 5 ghz or 2.4

I have the orbi router and two satellites. Most of my devices are automatically on the 2.4 ghz. Very few are on the 5 ghz. Which is better for gaming and how can I make a device assign itself to the r...

You can't. 

The orbi devices do bandsteering so they move devices between 2.4ghz and 5ghz as needed based off distance and bandwidth needs. 

what you can do though? Try turning the 2.4ghz broadcast power down. 

and then disconnect your device from the wifi and reconnect it.
