I take it you've had no luck finding an answer. I have been having the same issue, but seemingly worse. My s6 will not stay connected to the Orbi wifi system at all. I have tried forgetting the network and signing back on, reboots of both phone and wifi, and searching for updates. My wife's iphone, my computer, our smart tv's, etc, ALL work perfectly with the Orbi system, but the Samsung Galaxy will not.
It is extremely frustrating, and I am actually contemplating trading in for an iPhone at this point. If there are any further tips on how to solve this issue, it would be very much appreciated.

What FW version are you using on the Orbi system?
Try disabling the following, Beamforming, MIMO, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and 20/40 Coexistence and see if anything different happens.
Also set manual channel 1,6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5ghz.
