Beamforming should be enabled. Helps in wifi performances.
MIMO is for devices that support MIMO and mostly it can be enabled. In recent past few years MIMO devices have become more prominent and on wifi routers. If you don't have any MIMO devices this feature can be disable. https://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-features/33100-why-you-don-t-need-mu-mimo

I understand completely what you are saying, and I know exactly what you mean about the frames; for some crazy reason, no matter what browser I use, I cant see that "frame" you are talking about, above the help center..
Is there a way to do it from the phone app instead?
thanks

I just talked to netgear, and they told me on the rbr853, and on all wifi 6 orbi priducts, beamforming and mumimo is ENABLED by default; it comes on automatically when used/needed,and there is no where in the web interface to turn it on or off...
- jay540Feb 13, 2020TutorI have RBR50 with one satellite. Installed and running since less than one month. Under "Advanced Wireless Settings" at the bottom of the page, you will find Enable Implicit Beamforming and Enable MU-MIMO options. For me they were not enabled by default. Hope this helps.

The previous comment was about the WiFi 6 Orbi line, not the WiFi 5 Orbi's discussed in this forum.
The WiFi 6 (AX) products have their own community forum:

I think the intent of the previous post was to point out that the product lines are "different" in more ways than support for WiFi 6.

Yes, for the 8 series Orbi, Beamfroming and MIMO are not seen in the UI.
Please be sure to post about any Orbi 8 series systems over in the Orbi AX forum
Thanks.
