AC1900? Do you mean the C7000?
And then you have a mesh system connected to it?
Is the C7000 in modem only mode? Or the Mesh (which one?) in access point mode?
Otherwise you're in a double nat.

Yes it is owned by me NetGear cable modem router- model C7000-100nas I think it is in Access point mode. The Orbi is a RBR750. Is there steps I can walk through to verify? Every other day something else drops in an drops out of coneection. I had originally used my own Arris Surfboard G36 with the RBR750 and it worked perfectly until the cable company sent warnings that I needed to upgrade or my service with would not work properly. Now I have had nothing but headaches. I know enough to be dangerous with setups as evidence by my previous system. I need the Mesh because I am in a block and stucco 2032 sq ft home and stuck with a cable jack in front end of the home.
You still have that Arris G36? Its quite a bit higher performing than the C7000. Not sure who you talked to at your cable company but the G36 is a docsis 3.1 device that is AX and multigig. The C7000 has non of that, is a generation older, docsis 3.0. Big time downgrade to go from the G36 to the C7000.
If you still have the G36, go back to that.
How I'd set it up for either device is
Modem/router combo device (in router mode)----->RBR750 in access point mode (has to be done through the GUI, not the browser).Setup the orbi with a different SSID and using different channel that the main modem/router combo device. That'll help prevent interference and a double nat.
