Blocked Service but imessage goes through
I've blocked services on a schedule and it blocks web browsing but imessage still work. How can stop all services?

Can you describe the way the service block was implemented. If you want a certain WiFi device to be "cut off" for certain hours of the day, I would think the block should be "Any" from "1" through "65535" for "TCP/UDP" and you would specify the IP address of the iPad to be controlled.
Hi - Under LAN set up I assigned my kids devices IP addresses in a range. I also set up a schedule and then under blocked services setup I blocked the range of IP addresses per schedule. It seems to work for web browsing and most apps but they can still send imessages even on wifi only iPads.
The blocked services are
Type = Any
Protocol = TCP/UDP
starting port = 1
ending port = 65535
The type is the only field I can change.
I tried and was not able to block i-messages or facetime
This forum certainly exposes my lack of knowledge about networking.

The confusing part (to me) is that "Block Services" does not appear to function as described. Does it apply only to IPv4 connections and not to IPv6? Wonder what happens if IPv6 is disabled on the Orbi?
