Blue Light Orbi RBS50Yv2 But Not on Map
My Blue Light Orbi RBS50Yv2 was working yesterday and has been a couple of years... This morning it didn't show on my Map... Firmware is V2.7.3.22 I have Orbi Router RB50... 2 other satellites sh...
In orbi mode, its the devices themselves (your phone/tablet/etc) that choose which to connect to.
And give it some time. It sometimes takes device a while to swap. Try going to that location you wanted coverage and see if that device connects/switches to that satellite.
I did the setup of power to the Orbi Extender:
Power plugged in and did not turn it on...
Held the Sync Button and pushed power on/off button...
Power came on...
Continued to hold sync button until white to blue flash a couple of times...
Then released the sync button..
It went through several flashing blue...
Then blue stayed on steady...
I checked my app and router shows and two other satellites that I have shows up and are working:
But nothing on the extender shows up...
But the blue light on extender stays solid blue...
Orbi Router is RBR50
Orbi Exstender is RBS550Yv2
This had been working for about 3 years until this morning...
Map usually showed Sat. 2 connected to extender with great speeds...

That was my intention to have it on extend mode, nut it is not working.
Before it would extend my wifi out to my garden about 300' feet away and had a very strong signal.
The blue LED stays on.
I have went through the same process of setup several times.
Any ideas why it is not working.
Why not put it in orbi mode and sync it with your orbi system?
then it uses the dedicated wireless backhaul. You'll have faster speeds and lower latency.I was just trying to get it back like it was for a little over 2 years when it was in extend mode and I could stream my Spectrum on my laptop in the garden whoch is 300' from the back of the house... And the router is still another 30'...
I think the Outdoor Orbi must be malfunctioning because nothing hooks up to it at all.
