I seem to remember posts about "I bricked the Orbi and then...."
I have found that TFTP is (for me) really touchy about exactly when I do the "put". A second too soon or too late, and it fails. There seems to be a brief window of time when the Orbi is in a mode that accepts a TFTP connection. TFTP is also really cumbersome to set up.
- Have to disconnect everything from the Orbi and connect only one PC with an ethernet cable.
- Set the PC up with a static IP, such 192.168.1.10
- Set up the TFTP put to 192.168.1.1, then
- Do the paperclip, release, and click put.
