c6300 modem only for orbi AC3000

A common configuration for Orbi devices that sit behind a modem/router is as an Access Point. This removes some features, but these may well be present in the modem/router.
It is also easy to turn off the router bit of the C6300. See the bit in the manual:
Change the Router Mode
If you visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
you can feed in the model number and find the documentation, and, if there are any, firmware versions and drivers for your hardware.
Look for the model number on the label on the device.
If the C6300 is still in router mode, then, as CrimpOn suggests, most people say turn off its wifi. My experience is that this is not important, but my Orbi sits on a Powerline Ethernet link and is nowhere near the main router. Having said, that I do turn off the router's wifi in normal use.
