Excellent info - the only part that I am unclear of is how do I pair the satellite Orbi after placing the first orbi into AP mode? I still want to leverage wireless mesh between the hardwired AP orbi and the secondary sattelite.
My undersatnding is that the mesh function is controlled via the app which no longer works once it's in AP mode?

It still functions as a mesh in AP mode.
You can connect to the router via app or the browser and then add satellites as you normally would.
AP mode simply disables some of the routing features not the smart roaming/mesh features
