Can I Move an Orbi satellite from one kit to another

I tried syncing a satellite that came with one kit to a base from another kit and I'm just getting a purple ring.   Is this not possible?   Each kit came with one base and two satellites.  I used the iPad app to try to "add satellite"

    Try using the sync button on the RBS then RBR instead of the Orbi app.

     

    Also you need to make sure the RBS is using same version of FW thats running on the RBR that your trying to connect the RBS too.
