cannot connect vpn l2tp, orbi satellite

Updated to the latest firmware, RBR 40 : V2.5.1.22 and RBW30 V2.5.0.4
ISP modem/router (ZTE Experia Box v10), set to bridge mode. Wired to the orbi router (RBR40). The wall plug satellite is connected wireless, about 10 meters (33ft).
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.

I would try option #2...put the modem back in to router mode and disable ALL wifi radios on the modem...
I had option one build, its posible to switch to bridge mode. Build option 2 for testing. It has te same result.
Using/starting vpn:
- Connected wired to orbi router. Works
- Connected wireless to orbi router. Works
- Connecten wireless to orbi satalite. Does not work.
How would the network on the wan-side of the orbi router, infulence the network on the orbi statellite and not the orbi router itself?
Possible problem at the RBS. Something to contact NG support about and file a support ticket.
