Cant connect Orbi Sat to Orbi Router while in AP mode on AT&T Fiber
Im using my Orbi RBR40 Router in AP mode for AT&T Fiber. Every wireless device is connecting to the Router, none on the Satellites. Router Firmware Version V2.3.5.30 Satellites Firmware Version...

I couldnt get the Sats to sync to the Router, so I again reset the Router/all Sats to Factory defaults, rebooted and plugged Ethernet direct to Router, while leaving it also connected to the ATT modem. The web startup detected the AT modem and said I could continue in Router mode..... so, I went on with it, reset to my previous password, relocated all of the satellites, and it all looks to be working properly.
I uninstalled all devices from the Orbi app as well, it detected them and its working as well.
I still have 17 out of 18 devices connected to the router, only one shows to be connected to one of the satellites. Not sure how to "tell it" which devices. The router is in a closet behind a fireplace, in another room, and satellites are in further points around the house. Yet almost all still point to the router.
Looks like it is solved, I appreciate the efforts this afternoon! Thanks!

This worked. I logged in via my Mac and jotted down all the IP addresses, then directed browser to each. Looks like Im in now. Hopefully updating works.
Thanks!
Good luck...we'll look for your next post about firmware issues. Not clear from your original post why you thought you needed update anything in the first place..??

I have two satellites that are not connected to the Router.

Let us know after you get them updated with FW, if they connect to the RBR using the button press.
I would do this while in the same rooms as the RBR. If you can get them correctly connected, then turn off and place back in remote locations.

Might look at this suggestion if your using the isp modem/router in router mode with the Orbi router in router mode:
Disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can keep the Orbi router in Router mode.
Glad the system is up and running for you now. I recommend making a backup configuration to file on the RBR for safe keeping. Helps save time if a reset is needed in the future.
Enjoy. :smileywink:
