Can't get RBK53 set up with Xfinity XB6
I bought a RBK53 and am having trouble setting it up. I put the XB6 into Bridge Mode and then went through the setup process with Orbi. When I got to the screen where Orbi looks for an internet ...
A couple things you could try.
Whenever you change a modem's settings, you'll want to reboot it afterwards.
So try powering off both the orbi and xb6.
Power on the xb6 with nothing connected to it. Give it a few minutes.
then connect 1 cable from the xb6 to the wan port of orbi.
then power on the orbi. give it a few minutes to fully boot. see if it works.
don't connect anything else to the xb6, only the orbi. Maybe its kicking itself out of bridge mode if more than 1 device plugs into it.
If that doesn't work, you could try leaving the xb6 in router mode, disable its wifi, and place the orbi in AP mode.
