(CBK40)with AT&T Fiber
I have AT&T Fiber. Tired of paying for their equipment each month. Purchased the CBK-40. The AT&T ONT only has ethernet. Do I have to connect the CBK via COAX or can I use one of the available ether...
The CBK40 version was the wrong one to buy. its a modem/router combo device and not a router only device. If you're still within your return period, I'd return it or exchange it.

The cbr40 isn't compatible with att service. This is directly off the listing:
- Compatible with all major Internet Service Providers — Xfinity from Comcast, Spectrum, Cox, and more. Not compatible with Gigabit service. Not compatible with: Verizon, AT&T, or CenturyLink
As plemans states, the CBR system only works on cable ISP services. ATT, CenturyLink and Verizon are non cable ISPs, thus DSL FIber or ONT services only.
Contact your ISP to make sure what specific modem or ONT hardware is required before buying a modem system.
I recommend that if you want a orbi wifi system, get ta RBK system instead, i.e. RBK20, 50, 75# or 850 series orbi sytem to use with your ISPs modem. Modem only is recommened for use with these wifi router systems.
Modems having a built in router and wifi connected to a external router like RBK systems, This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
