Change LAN TCP/IP for Powerline?
I've previously posted about woes getting my various Zycel powerline adapters working with Orbi, which I have in Router mode. One PLA attached to router lan port, another plugged in down the house and connected to a computer. PLAs are factory reset, synced, connected to each other, troubleshooted. The computer can access Orbi's wifi.
Using the PLAs, I can only get IPv4 'limited' access and IPv6 'local' access. Windows shows the IPv4 address as a 169.254.. address with subnet of 255.255.0.0.
Of course the Orbi is 192.168.1.1 and subnet 255.255.255.0.
Wondering if I change the LAN settings of the Orbi router, the PLAs will start working. I've read some others having issues with changing the LAN settings away from default, so would like any input before doing so.
Thanks!

FYI, I finally bit the bullet and put the Orbi behind my old router and enabled AP mode. Powerline and EoC work again connected directly to old router.
Not quite sure why in the Orbi admin panel I see the devices connected directly to the old router/powerline, but I do - guess their info is passed along to Orbi.
Have had a few connectivity issues - got the pink rings of death but rebooting and/or re-syncing the orbi system re-established the connection. Also think the old router has lost internet connection a few times initially.
