Change Public IP on Orbi AC3000
Hello,
Hoping someone can assist with an issue I am having. For whatever reason, my ISP (Xfinity) has provided me with a public IP that has a geolocation based in Mount Laurel, NJ. I am in Massachusetts. This is preventing me from streaming New York area sporting events through ESPN+ because the service sees my public IP as being in the New York Area. Is there a way to have my Orbi spoof the MAC address so that my ISP sees it as a new device and forces down another public IP? I am not sure if I am explaining that correctly from a technology standpoint. Anyway, if any one has any suggestions on how to resolve the issue I am having, I would be most appreciative.

This reads like a problem on either the ISP (Xfinity) side, or on the ESPN+ geolocation service which might require and update.

Yes, the user can set the MAC address that the Orbi router uses to anything on the web browser management interface:
However, the appears to be "something wrong" with Xfinity's IP assignment process. There is nothing to stop them from giving this system another IP address in the same geo-location. I agree that the solution is to call Xfinity.
