Changing ISP - Will my existing Orbi RBK22 system still work?
I'm moving from L.A. to Colorado in a few months. Currently, my internet is supplied by Spectrum over a high-speed cable. My new internet provider will be a satellite ISP. I'm NOT the most tech-sa...

Since you’re using the default SSID I assume that your Orbi is in Router Mode.
Please ask your new ISP to provide you with a “plain” modem without a built-in router.
You should then be able to just plug in Orbi to the new modem and then you will be good to go.
You will keep all your existing configuration: wifi network name, password, IP addresses,.... etc.
Good luck!

Sorry, ekhalil, I have no idea what a default SSID is. My orby router and satellite are in the mode they came in right out of the box, whatever that was. I simply plugged the router into the modem, set up my satellite downstairs and let them all do their thing and connect.
I think you're right, though...just need the new ISP to give me a plain modem with no built-in router, which is what my current modem supplied by Spectrum is.
Do I have that right?
