Connecting an RBR50 & RBS50 ac3000 network to a ac2200 RBR40 and RBS40 network
I have paired the RBR50 with the RBS50 satellite and it works great, however I have an extension that does not carry the signal. I'm wondering whether I can make use of a spare RBR40 router and RBS40....
What do you mean by having an extention that doesn't carry the signal?

1) connect the RBR40 to the RBS50 satellite via an ethernet cable and then pair the rbs40 to the RBR40 satellite using the same SSID as a daisy chain of sorts? Hopefully I'll have a main ac3000 network and an ac2200 using the same SSID
2) Pairing the RBS40 to the RBR50 isn't an option as it be slower than the RBS50 at the same range... So should I connect the RBR40 to the RBR50 router (the RBR50 connected to the modem) via ethernet cable and then pair the RBS40 to the RBR40

Yes the satellite is at the fringes of that range. I'm looking at any daisy chaining options linking to the ac3000 RBR50/RBS50 network using rbr40/rbs40 (on ac2200). Thanks
