Connecting Satellite to RBK50 using Cable
Hi,
I have Orbi router RBK50 with one satellite RBS50 in my house.
I wish to connect a home office to the same internet connection but it is outside of wireless range.
I have however run an ethernet cable from the house to the office (cat 7).
I need a satellite that will connect to the RBK50 router using an ethernet cable rather than wirelessly.
Will another RBS50 work?
Many Thanks
Michael

many things would work.
the RBS20, RBS40, RBS40V (on sale on amazon currently), and RBS50.
they all have an ethernet jack and would work. and if its hardwired in, you don't need to worry about the difference in backhauls between the versions.
30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router
