my RBR50 "Internet" port connects to the GE1 on my fibre ONT unit via a straight Cat5e cable. No other connections between the two.
I have a solid green power LED, regularly flashing green optical showing the fibre is lit, randomly flashing LAN1 due to traffic - system working fine. Hope this helps.
