Devices show network but will not connect to internet

So I set my Orbi up. The network shows up on my devices (phones, computer, Smart Tv) when I try to search the internet or connect to Netflix, I get an error message 404 - File not found.

Any suggestions?

  • What does the Orbi say about the internet connection?

Are you using the Orbi web interface or the Orbi "app"?

Oh, dear.  Orbi has two passwords, (1) to access the WiFi, and (2) to access the administrative interface.  It's pretty clear that the WiFi password is known (because devices connect).  Without access to the Orbi admin, it is very difficult to do any troubleshooting.  This may be a time to "bite the bullet" and do a factory reset on the Orbi, i.e. stick a paperclip into the tiny reset hole for 10-12 seconds until the power LED flashes amber.  That will return the Orbi to the WiFi name and password printed on the label, the administrative account will be "admin" and the password will be "password."  When you set it up this time (and change the admin password), write it down several times.

  • What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
