Disney+ Won't Stream Through Orbi Router

I was having the same issue with a Netgear Nighthawk MR60 Mesh router. I was able to resolve the problem by using Cloudflare's DNS for IPv4 and IPv6. This will probably work with other custom DNS providers like Google or OpenDNS. Cloudflare DNS info: https://1.1.1.1/dns/

 

IPv4

  • Setup -> Internet Setup
  • scroll to DNS section and select "Use these DNS Servers"
  • 1.1.1.1 for primary
  • 1.0.0.1 for secondary
  • Apply changes, wait for reboot

IPv6

  • Advanced Setup -> IPv6
  • scroll to DNS section and select "Use these DNS Servers" (depending on your IPv6 "Internet Connection Type" you may not have this option)
  • 2606:4700:4700:0000:0000:0000:0000:1111 for primary
  • 2606:4700:4700:0000:0000:0000:0000:1001 for secondary
  • Apply changes, wait for reboot

I'm not sure why this works, but my guess is that it has something to do with the way certain ISPs use a deprecated method for "converting" IPv4 traffic to IPv6.
