Does RBR50 support NAT hairpinning/loopback for the DDNS address?
I have an Orbi RBR50 mesh system. I am trying to connect to Synology NAS. Does the RBR50 support NAT hairpinning/loopback for a DDNS address? If so how do you activate or turn this on?

FURRYe38 is correct. The Orbi RBR50 supports NAT hairpinning (loopback):
- When the user attempts to connect to the public IP address of the router, and
- When the user attempts to connect to the DDNS name of the router.
In both cases, a Port Forwarding entry is required to direct the connection attempt to the desired device on the LAN.
The test I use is my Epson printer, which has a web interface showing printer status. I forward port 80 (http) to the printer (which is at 192.168.1.4). Then open a web browser and attempt to open:
http://<my public IP address> or http://<my DDNS name>
In both cases, the printer web interface appears in the web browser.
After doing the experiment, of course, I delete that Port Forwarding entry because within minutes robots on the internet would begin attempting to connect to my printer and do whatever the heck robots want to do when they find an open web server.
