Does the Orbi have ethernet backhaul?
We need to buy a mesh system NOW. I like that the Orbi gets the highest marks for performance on many review sites, but if it doesn't support ethernet backhaul, then this is a deal breaker. No, ...

With many nodes, mesh will keep track of fastest path and reroute as needed (which also makes it self-healing). Netgear can't (currently) do that, but Eero and Google does.

Or does it behave more like a traditional repeater?yes , it uses the 5 gig backhaul , but you dont see the 50% loss of a repeater as the backhaul has twice the capacity of the front haul so it pretty much counteracts any loss , however if you daisy chaimed a few back to back i would guess you would see demionishing returns throughput wise
