I have tried several times as my old echo dots (2) stopped connecting to the internet. Purchased two brand new ones thinking it was the dot as other devices connect no issue. New ones won't either. S...

Its managed both through the web interface and the app. Network security is on, parental controls are not. Firmware version is v2.7.4.24 When checking for new firmware it states Firmware is up to date.

Yes, Firmware Update is a bit (confusing? frustrating? insane?.... whatever). Netgear posted firmware v.2.7.5.4 to the support web site in February, 2023:

It is a frequent topic of discussion on the forum that neither the Orbi app nor the Orbi web Firmware Update feature yet inform customers that this version is available.
My guess is that the firmware version is not causing this issue, but one of the most common bits of advice is, "upgrade to the latest firmware."
On the web interface, does the Attached Devices page show Access Control as "on" or "off" (at the top, above the satellite information)?
I'd like to search the internet for the specific language used by the Echo Dots to describe the internet connection problem.

Well I just turned off Armor (which I really don't want to do) and I got one to connect. I will now try the second one.

Second one connected. Looks like it might have been the security Armor software?

Well, this gives me even less incentive PAY for Bitdefender Armor. If you are up for Fun and Games, maybe now that they are activated, Armor will ignore them? Beats me....
