Enable "Bridge mode" on Orbi RBR50

By chance I have a Nighthawk R7000 connect to my Orbi for the same purpose: to provide a bunch of ethernet ports in my garage where it is impractical to run an ethernet cable from my Orbi.
Nothing is configured on the Orbi. Nothing.
On the R7000, I went to the Advanced Tab, Advanced Setup, Router/AP/Bridge, and set it to Bridge Mode. I also went into the Advanced Wireless settings and disabled the 2.4G radio. The garage R7000 does not support any WiFi clients. I believe how to do this is described in the R7000 User Manual.

So to clarify: I do nothing with the orbi, then setup the r7000 in the desired room (with only a power cord), disable the 2.4 radio, enable bridge mode (with all automatic/default settings), then plug in my computer via ethernet?
You are setting up your R7000 as a wireless bridge, so it allows your wireless device to connect to your Orbi's wireless network. Awesome! I got everything connected. One weird thing though. I knew the speed would reduce. But when testing it ~10ft away from my orbi (2 walls blocking.) My speeds on orbi were ~300mbps and on the R7000 its only 60mbps MAX. Does 10ft really affect conncection that much on 5G ?
