Epson printer slows network

My wireless Epson printer is slowing my wireless network down. If I unplug the printer my speeds go back up. Is there a solution to this beside not turning my printer on ?

    Well I would make sure the printer has the latest firmware but printers do not typically have the best wireless cards built in them so it may slow your network down no matter what when it is connected.
