Epson USB Printer/Scanner connected to RBR50

Guys,

I have a mesh network composed of a RBR50 and a RBS50.

It works as it should. Very efficient. I'm even planing an extra RBS50 to make things even better.

I have an Epson XP-231 USB printer/scanner connected to the RBR50.

I can print from the desktop that is cable connect to the RBR50, from the notebook connected through wifi. Even the iPhone and iPad are able to access and print.

But my problem concerns the SCANNER of the Epson XP-231.

I couldn't find in the documentation I accessed how to make it work.

What am I missing?

I thank you all in advance for the information and advices.

Marcelo

  • The Epson User Guide mentions WiFi connection.

    Is this not possible?

I am truly impressed that someone has been able to connect a printer to the Orbi USB port and get it to print.

I had long ago concluded that this was impossible, much like connecting a USB hard drive to the Orbi router.

      Well ...

Printer was still working fine connected to ORBI USB port.

But, as I was unable to access the scanner I plugged the Epson XP-231 back to the desktop.

If anyone has any suggestion on how to solve this, I'll plug it back to ORBI.
